The Major Member Dinner supports Scouting in San Luis Obispo County. This year's speaker is Michael S. Malone, author of Four Percent, a book which provides an honest view of the Boy Scouts of America per the Huffington Post. Steve Forbes says: "In an area that has had too much hype, Mike Malone consistently provides the provocative, penetrating, analyses and insights that brilliantly withstand the test of time. He is an impeccable source of enlightenment."
The evening begins with a reception at 6:00 pm with dinner and program to begin at 7:00 pm. The date is Wednesday, December 11, and the location is the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo.
Cost for the dinner is $150. Corporate Tables (includes corporate logo in the program) for eight people are available for $1,500. Event Sponsorship, which includes a full page ad in the printed program and a reserved table for eight in the front of the room, costs $2,500.

Special Eagle Scout Family Discount Announced for 2013 Major Member Dinner
For over 40 years, the Major Member Dinner has raised much needed funds to support Scouting programs our communities and celebrated the best and oldest youth program there is - Scouting!
Former columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, the Economists and Fortune Magazine, Eagle Scout Michael Malone is keynote speaker for this years dinner. Sharing compelling profiles and surprising facts about the history of the Eagle Scout rank from his award winning book Four Percent: The Story of Uncommon Youth in a Century of American LifeĀ, the evening program is guaranteed to be a great Scouting experience complete with a book signing during the reception.
