Los Padres Council, BSA is happy to share with you that we will be holding our annual Santa Barbara event, “Salute to Scouting” on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the historic Santa Barbara Club! This fundraiser is a fun event designed not only to give people an opportunity to come together for fun, food, and drink, but also to recognize leaders in our community who have helped build character and leadership in the youth of Santa Barbara County.  We are proud to announce this year’s event will recognize local Scouter and community member Douglas Scott with the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award and Robert Maloy with Los Padres Council’s Legacy Award. Douglas Scott and Robert Maloy will be honored for all their work they do to keep our communities healthy and our local youth safe and thriving.

The 7,000 young people who are impacted annually in our local Scouting, Exploring, and The Outdoor School programs will be able to stay on track due to your support. Many of the youth will become your neighbor or employee, some will lead our country, and some will pass on the legacy of Scouting to the next generation; but all will make a positive impact in their communities.

On behalf of the Planning Committee, we invite you to have a lasting impact in the local youth by sponsoring this event. Your support will assure that many youths that could not otherwise afford to take advantage of our scouting leadership programs, have that experience afforded to them.
